R53 oil leak on delivery from used dealer

So I just got my MC40 R53 with only 24k on the clock shipped up from FL and I have a major oil leak. The dealer did an oil change and from what I can see the oil leak is coming from around the oil filter housing. Much worse when car is running. Anyone have any ideas? Its not coming from the oil pan at all.

I'd say don't run it and tighten the oil filter housing. I bet they did a pass poor job installing the filter which made the housing not sit 100%. Or depending on warrenty. Just drive it to dealer and fry engine and get a new one.

Bet the o-ring on the filter cap is split....VERY easy to do...even dealers, etc can do it....a new ones comes with a filter...you lube it..and put it in the slot in the cap..then tighten...they sometimes get caught...and tear...results is a leak...

Yea +1 on the split o-ring on the filter. They might have not lubed it on the outside, went to put on the filter cap with the filter and walked the rubber gasket out and cut it. You might be able to put your hand down there and feel the seam, bet there is a piece of the gasket hanging out. #4

BTW the MC40 looks awesome. What a time warp.

Thanks guys. It was in fact a split gasket. Dealer I purchased from is covering the tab so I am happy.
