Two Separate Problems, Xenon and P0435

I recently got the error code:

P0435 - Catalyst Temperature Sensor Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 1

What exactly does that mean and what do I need to do?
What does it mean by "bank"?
All I could figure out is it is telling me my cat is bad, The MCS is a 2003 with 84,XXX miles on it.

Also, I have noticed my high beams will flash on then off randomly while driving, it isn't constant nor does it happen frequently, but it is annoying. Other drivers probably dont like me. I have the stock Xenon lamps.

And there is a squealing coming from what sounds like the belt, It doesn't go away when driving either...

Help for any of these issues is greatly appreciated!

I just bought the car Friday, 4-18-14.

sounds like your 1st o2 sensor is bad; if your cat was bad, you would get P0420 from the 2nd 02 sensor.

high beams, well, that is strange. check fuses? sounds like an intermittent connection somewhere, possibly in your "stalk" (the silver thing where you turn the lights on).

squealing belt, well, replace your belt, and or you may possibly need a new tensioner assembly.

Thanks for the reply.

The ses light went out after I filled up with 93 octane. Could the dealership have put 87 grade in and that cause the sensor to throw the code?
