Hopefully that's all she needed. I'll keep an eye on things for a while to be sure all is back in order.
I just have to add that I took my 2012 Mini S in today for tire rotation and the leak was found and the listed part number is the same as in your quote. While I have had my Mini S since October of 2011, it only has 15,775 miles on it. I hope that the oil leak doesn't come back as my warranty is up in September. Incidentally, I had no indication of any leak. No drops on the garage floor, etc. I would appreciate it if you would keep the forum updated if the leak reoccurs, and I will too.

I'll add that I don't think the o-ring will fix anything. If oil is getting injected into the wire harness the issue is internal to the solenoid, all that o-ring does is fix an external leak between the engine and the solenoid. I believe oil is getting pressurized and sent inside the solenoid. The oil then travels inside the body, and is ejected out through the harness, pumped up to the DME.

Are you sure warranty expires in Sept of this year? I bet it's your maintenance that expires this coming Sept, and warranty expires in Sept of next year..

Sandy, as previously stated, check the warranty - it should cover the car for 4 years. In addition, I think you will find that any repairs made be the MINI dealer are guaranteed for 2 years.
