So today while driving it felt as if the fuel was being cut out. I had a half tank of gas and at random times fuel felt like it was cut off, wouldn't die but then cut in again a few seconds later. I stopped at a gas station and filled up and it ran fine after that. I have a feeling he fuel pump is going out but just looking for some other opinions. Car has 88,xxx miles and no codes were thrown.

 

Sounds about right. Same thing happened to me.


When the fuel pump eventually goes, you can bang on the tank to temporarily get you going. Worked well enough to get me the last couple of miles to shop.
