I've recently purchased a 2005 MCS and appear to be having some of the issues noted on this forum. Wish I'd found this forum earlier. I've been up till 2am the last few nights reading through the masses of information, what a great forum full of knowledgable people. Will be doing the low speed fan mod ASAP.
One issue I have (and have read about) is the valve cover. I fitted the MSD coil and stupidly didn't read up on it first. I over tightened and heard a dreaded splitting noise on two bolts. The issue is there are no visual cracks on the outside of the valve cover. I'm assuming I've just cracked underneath the bolt. I've driven the car a few times, no smoke or leaking oil everywhere. The only thing I've noticed is a small amount of oil on one of the bolts that I over tightened.
My question is do I need to change the valve cover?
