Had a wonderful day of AutoXing and the car ran like a champ. The drive home was uneventful and put the car away for the night. I had to run out to the store about 3.5 hrs after the car was sitting in the garage. The car started up fine, ran fine...only thing was that the brake light, ABS light and DSC disable light were all on. Brakes work fine, the e-brake was fully disengaged, and I was unable to re-activate the DSC. Car seems to work/run ok, so I went to the store a few clicks down the road. Came out after my shopping frenzy, all 10 min of it, and everything is back to normal when I turned to key.

Should I be concerned? I tried to just ignore it, but I thought I would bounce this phenomenon off the best and brightest NAM has to offer.

Any thoughts, has this happened to anyone else, or should I just perscribe to the "ignorance is bliss philosophy"?

It's happened to my 2002 MCS on several occassions.
I'll define several as ..let's say...1/2 dozen times over an almost 2 year period.
I simply reset the system ...and it goes away after bout 5 minutes or so.
No rime or reason when it occurs..it just ...does
It's truly annoying...but ...such is life w/ a MCS

Peace,
D

My friends X5 did the same thing so I think it's inherent in all BMWs. I have something to look forward to!
