Scraping/Grinding Sound when coming to a stop

Hello all, I have been hearing a scrapping/grinding sound coming from what it sounds like the back of my car. This only happens when i am coming to a stop. I have not figured out yet if it just happens when i break or not, so i will update the post later when i figure this out. I forgot my Parking break was on for like a min last week, could this have started this problem. I think it is just weird that it will only make the sound when coming to a stop and i am not going that fast. This makes me think it has to do with breaks or something, but it doens't happen everytime. I also will check to see if this only happens when i have the clutch in or out, because i think it happens regardless.

Thanks!

Does is sound like a metal plate being scraped on asphalt as you are braking and coming to a stop?

Yes, i thought it was something scraping on the ground so i looked under the car and didn't see anything like hanging down or anything

Sounds (pun intended) like you need rear brakes.

Sounds like you need rear pads....
They usually don't wear evenly (thanks to the DSC or asc+t)....general rule is if the remining pad is thinner than the backer plate, replace it....
Wait too long...you will need rotors too...and are unsafe.
Remember...the brake pad sensor is only on ONE pad, on ONE side...if it even connected....

So i looked at the rotors and there isn't anything that makes it look like it was the pads, and i do have pad left.... Could it be the handbrake? It seems to sometimes make the noise when i am not even pressing the brake but moving slower.

Mine just started doing the same. I think it's the handbrake but all my pads look good. Going to get under it this week.

i looked and it ended up being my Driver side Back Break Caliper sticking. The break wont release sometimes and its making that noise when its not releasing all the way
