Mother F$(&ing code P115C

Okay I can not get my check engine light to go out... I keep getting P115C. I have cleaned the MAF, Replaced the MAF, changed the Valve Cover... And the light comes back. The only issue I can tell is a little rough idel and a bit sluggish at start, but the car appears to run fine. I can clear the code and drive and the light does not come on again until I stop the car and restart.

I know others have experienced similar frustrations. Any and all suggestions welcomed.

How did you clean the MAF? The MAF on my R56 is in a tube in what appears to be plastic housing. Did you just spray down the inside of the tube. I am having the exact same issue. Tried replacing gas cap on a lark but no luck there either.

Yep, that's what I did also...took the MAF off and used cleaner official MAF cleaner to the inside and wire. Hopefully someone with some success can help us out with an idea to resolve this

Just a follow up for you. The dealer has had the car since last Thursday. They have been eluded by the problem. They did 3 smoke tests, replaced MAF again, they fixed the timing which was off, they walnut shelled 2 carbon coated valves, installed proper gasket on intake manifold, run turbo through a series of tests, compression tested all cylinders and also reprogrammed DME with latest software.

The dealer had to have MINI/BMW engineering remotely retrieve log data that they can not access at dealership. They determined that the throttle position sensor and actual throttle position did not match up at idle rpm? They are going to swap throttle body with another car to check and see if this fixes the problem.

Gees I was going to say it was a vacuum leak somewhere but would never have guessed that. Cars are getting complicated!

Dealer called me today and confirmed that the throttle body was the problem. The swap did correct the issue and it was immediate. Now they are ordering the new throttle body. Hope this info helps some people who have been troubled by similar problems.
