I think there's an inherent issue with the front wheel arches. Where the clips snapped into place, the dimples (small depressions) are visible on the arch. Normally, they are not as noticeable on the black mat-finished arches. However, when painted, the dimples are enhenced and quite pronounced.

For those with painted arches, do you notice the same problem?

Well shucks, now you went and told!

It appears that it is a common problem after painting. It is on mine.

It's not a big issue! The dimples are only visible upon close inspection. Before installing the arches, they're perfectly smooth. It's the pulling force of the clips creating the small depressions once installed.

I've seen them on other MINIs with painted arches. Oh, well!

 

I guess it's just a 'characteristic' of that mod.
