I wanted to give some "good" news regarding that darned airbag light issue.

So we all got the notice that they extended the warranty. Here is what you might not know. Your warranty repair has a 2 year, unlimited mileage warranty on it. This means that if you had the light come on, you got it fixed, and it comes on again for the same reason (fairly common due to the darned seat sensor), within two years Mini will cover it. This is great news for me (for example) since the previous owner had it fixed in warranty, but I'm not out of warranty, but within the two years.

How it works. Make an appointment, bring your receipt from the previous work if you can. They will charge you $125 for diagnosis of the light. This gets waived if it's the same issue.

If it's the same issue, congrats, they'll fix it for you. If it's not, you are out $125 with the option of having them do the repair for whatever that may cost.

I'm scheduling my appt for a few weeks from now. Wish me luck.
