So the speedo is freaking out. Friend mentioned it may be the bcu. Considering the car has has minor leaks , the driver side door doesn't electronically lock any more and I have door sill rust... What is the issue?????!

Are you able to start the car? My speedo did that when the battery was at the end of its life. Might be worth it to have battery tested.

 

You and way motor works mentioned the battery and I'm thinking that's the case. I can't still start it up bit sometimes it has to crank a couple times to get going.

Low battery does weird things. Go get it tested for free and replaced if necessary.

Yesterday i sow that you have a problem with your MINI COOPER,and guys from my garage have a soluttion,because we have the same problem yesterday.
We had the same DTC,same flickr on the dash board,we try everthing and at the end,we replace RPM cluster,and we solved the problem.To be safe first try to disconect the RPM,should be fine with out it.
