Extract the fan assembly. Try this:

Remove the resistor & replace w/ this:

Amazon.com: Dorman 902-706 Radiator Fan Relay Kit: Automotive

Install new OEM relay inside Dorman assembly. PN 61 36 8 373 700

Check threads on putting car on service mode to get to the fan.

Is your A/C auto w/ buttons? Or manual w dial switches? That resistor is for auto.
