My odometer is reading 32500 and my 2nd service indicator is still at 3300. Since there isn't a 1:1 ratio between these, I will in all likeihood be past 36000 miles when my service is due. Anyone else facing a similar issue? BTW, 1st inspection was at 13000 miles.

I am at 26K and my 3rd service is due at just over 40K. Won't be free for me.

My 1st Inspection just happened at 33,300 miles. My 1st Oil Service was at 13,300 miles. I haven't had my 2nd Inspection yet. But I do know for sure it's going to be well after the 36,000 miles mark!

BTW, the miles left indicator is base upon the amount of gas used not miles driven. So if you take it to the track for a few tank fulls, that should put a sizable dent in the indicator's mileage. Or you could sit it in your driveway with the engine running

I do a lot of freeway driving (55 miles round trip to work) which tends to make the service interval longer since they are easier on the car than short trips. I need to get out more on the weekends for aggressive driving.

My MINI told me my first oil service would be 9500 miles(I'm doing the kilometer to mile
math in my head so could be + - abit)when I got the car, most motoring is highway,so in a week this went up to 10500,then close to 12000,after week 2.got it done at 11000
Now I have 20500 on it and it tells 4500 to go till first inspection

I got my last inspection just under the gun. I had it in for service and I mentioned that I was close on my "service meter". They said that they don't like to do the work unless you're less than 150 away from the mileage indicator. Unfortunately for me, if I waited till the mileage indicator would let me come in, then I would be over the 36k. I told them I'd get the mileage down by tomorrow, easily. So rather than have me come back the next day, the service guy talked to the tech and they agreed to do the service now. So I got my service and inspection covered. Luckily for me, they also replaced some filters (I think the ones in front of the windshield or the AC filter, not sure) which would have cost me $$!

Now, I just have to think about which extended warranty to get, as the 50k mark is rapidly approaching!

I am at 34k and the next inspection on the OD says (or adds up to) 45k. These 10-12k between inspections and oil changes are LOOOONG. But, thats the way they want it... Just stresses me out since I have always changed the oil every 3-5k in other cars.

Low maintenance, high fun!
