Recently experienced service engine soon light and loss of power, almost stalling above 4k RPM and rough starts. Dealer says could be Fuel Level Sensors, High Pressure Fuel Pump or Low Pressure Fuel Pump, Suggests replacing Fuel Level Sensors first however I have no issues with the fuel gauge. They suggest this first, then if does not ifx the propblem replace the HPFP and it that does not work the LPFP. The vehicle is not under warranty. Any ideas on what this actually would be? Most of what I read suggests it is the HPFP. Any ideas would be appreciated.

 

Is this car a 2nd gen (turbo)? Maybe that forum would have more experience with this symptom?
