2002 mini whinning when moving.

When I rev the engine or roll down the road there is a whinning noise. Any help?

Is it a supercharged MINI? Perhaps it's the sound of the supercharger.

does it increse and decrese with the RPM's? Or just a constant whine with no pitch change?

I would check the belt and all the pulleys. Alt ,tensioner maybe just a bad belt
