R56 fJCW woes

Hi Everyone,

So I have a 2009 fJCW. It went in for the brand new full timing chain kit (the latest revision of it) after the infamous cold start rattle.

After a week later the problem came back

This was a week later after the new kit was fitted

I booked the car in at the dealer again and they stated it was PCV valve related, it was blocked and they replaced the entire unit by the tappet cover/head.

This is what it sounds like after:

Is this normal for the car to sound like this? Getting frustated sending the car in every time

It still sounds similar to me, rattle is still present.

That sounds normal for an early morning cold start. Mine is a bit noisy too after a cold start. It quiets down after warming up. The real bad sound is when you can hear the chain dragging on the guides very loudly. It sounds exactly like a very rough clanky diesel engine. Yours does not sound like that.
