'06 R50 Stalled Turning Left
'06 R50 Stalled Turning Left
I autocrossed my '06 base Cooper at a test & tune on two short courses yesterday with the gas tank less than 1/4 full. It stalled when I took a sharp left turn on the flatter of the two courses. There was no pressure in the fuel hose. Ultimately found/replaced the blown fuse (one of two 15 amp fuses designated for "engine control"). It started. So I drove the other, hillier course several times without problems. Then I drove the initial course and it stalled at the SAME left-hander! I replaced the fuse again and quit for the day.
Drove in an event today at the same site with the tank over 1/4 full without problems. However, the course didn't have that specific left hand turn.
Any ideas as to what caused the blown fuse(s)? It's got 67K miles. Thanks for your advice!
