Water Pump replaced now No Boost?
Water Pump replaced now No Boost?
So last week I noticed blue fluid under my wife's 2010 R57. It is still under warranty so I called and had it serviced. After reading many posts I knew right way that it was the water pump. After dropping it off they called to tell me that the water pump needed to be replaced. They would have it over night so I had to run up there to get my girls car seats out of the back. When I got there they had the front passenger tire off and the front was taken apart. I never like to see that but understand that sometimes it is needed to get things back up and running. We got it back the next day but today was the first time that I had a chance to drive it. I noticed a problem right away. There was little to no boost. A while back I upgraded to a JCW tune kit and have been more than happy with the performance. Typically I could really feel it pull right around 2500+ RPM's and it would continue all the way up. The first thing that I noticed was the lack of power. I would watch the tac and it would climb to 4000+ RPM's with little to no pull what so ever. It was like that thru all the gears. I almost felt like it was stuttering some at higher RPM's. 4500+.
My questions is what do I need to look for? In the process of replacing a water pump is there typically something that could or would be disconnected related to the turbo? I want to make sure that I am very clear when I take it back to service. I can already hear them telling me that there is nothing wrong. What upsets me is after paying for the tune now I feel like the car is performing below what it did before the tune.
Thanks for your help.
