So, I went to swap in some facelift xenons into my R53 yesterday. Turns out the one of the washer pump tabs are broken.

If you go to remove a washer pump from the housing, you have to press a release tab, then carfully withdraw the pump from the housing clearing the tab. It seems the previous owner of this particular housing didn't do that, instead the tab is broken off.

Any ideas on how to rectify this situation? I tried expoxying in a new tab, but it just broke off easily when I went to test it's resiliency.

 

I hot glued my washer in place :P
Kept sliding out.

Same problem and I used (liberally) super glue. Zero issues after 7-8 months.
