anybody else experience a loud power steering pump?I have a 2002 mcs(july build) and this problem is brand new.I don't recall seeing any other threads on this topic,but if there are, referals please.I'd just as soon get this taken care of before my warrantee is up.In other cars I've owned this whining sound usually meant that the power steering fluid level was down, but this is not currently the case.HELP!

As I said, this is new for me .What would change to make this louder"all of a sudden"?

 

Yup, I had the same problem.

Brought it to the dealer, they had to replace it.

Now I'm worried, becasue mine as alwasy had soem sort of loud whine, I was told that the car had a seperate motoring for the steering so it would steal engery form the engine, but mayeb its gotten louder and I dunno how woudl I find out??

My condolences on your owning a BRG....ain't they ugly??? And slow too.....it really is a shame they make them......no one in their right mind should buy one........
