Oil Treatment
With all the talk about oil change intervals and brands of oil, I thought it time to add the topic of oil additives. While I'm sure most are a waste of money, there is a product out there that I highly recommend. It should be used AFTER the break in period. The product is called Tribotech (www.tribotech.com for more info).
I first learned of this treatment about 6 years ago from a drag racer out in California. He used it in his Super Gas car. Said he couldn't believe the difference it made in reducing wear. I've used it in two of my cars, both right after the factory recommended break in period. The first was a 1995 Dodge Intrepid with the 3.5L engine (same engine as the Prowler) and in the 5 years I owned that sorry POS the only thing that didn't need repair was the engine internals. The second car I treated was my 1999 Toyota Camry V-6. It only has 25K miles so far, so I can't say it has proven the long term benefits of the product, but the car uses practically no oil between oil changes. Mainly, what sold me on the product was how sold that drag racer was. I'm putting it in my MCS this weekend.

I'll stick with some of the better full synthetics. Redline or Royal Purple. And a good filter. I'm hoping Wix will start making one for the Mini.
