Hello every one. I have an issue with this 06 MINI Cooper S convertible. A little back story. The car came to me for an engine swap (due to a severe rod knock, I did not diagnose.) and flood damage. After 2months i finished the swap and all the electrical componets and and wiring that was damaged.All in all i replace the engine,clutch,main fuse box ( the 250a by the battery) the PCM and the main power wire to the Alternator. Now i go to start the thing up, all electronics work fine, fuel pump turns on ect. But the starter wont turn, the relay works but no action. So i went with my PowerProbe to try and jump the starter at the solenoid, and nothing. Upon closer inspection i found there is a constant 8v there and then when i turn to start it jumps to 12v there. I am at my witts end with this MINI and i live on Kauai in Hawaii, There is absolutly no factory support for MINI or BMW on this island. Any insight on my issue from you experts would be greatly appriciated. Aloha!
