Cost for break in service? Oil/ Manual trans fluid change.

I was gonna have a break in service done on my new MCS around 1,200 - 2,000 miles. I haven't called any dealers yet but was wondering what a general oil change, manual transmission fluid change usually costs?

I was mainly looking into having Mini do this so I don't have any warranty grief later on if I should need to have any work done.

Thanks NAM

I don't know how far away you are from Prestige MINI but here is a special from them. I know it is for the 2002-2006, but I don't think yous would be any different.

Where did you buy it? Have you called them?

I would definitely do an LOF at that mileage for the BreakIn, but why a Tranny Flush??
If your dealer doesn't have a problem with you supplying your own oil, I'd go with one of the "performance" oils, like Redline. Gettin' about 2mpg's better since I put this in Molly and she's got over 54,000mi. on her. My LOF schedule is every 6mo. depending on what costs you don't mind paying for in regards to the Oil/Changes, 1 Free through MINI and one you would pay for that's how I worked it, this is the first time I've had Redline in her, but if I had to do it over again, I'd go with Redline exclusively.

Unless you are a BIG gear grinder, why bother with the tranny flush...and if you are..it not really gonna help it life....
prices vary greatly on an extra oil change, but generally $90-120 ish is not common. Dealers charge based upon what they can get, labor costs, overhead, and other expenses...sometimes I have seen post of as little as $60-75 with a coupon at some lower cost MINI dealers...
