How many miles to change timing chain tensioner for N18 engine

Hi,

I looked through the manuals but there is no indiction of how many miles to change the timing chain and the tensioner though I already had it changed at 11,000 miles due to callback.

Any advice?

If you stay vigilant and keep the oil topped up, there's no reason you shouldn't see 100k+ before needing to change.

The chain isn't supposed to be a maintenance item, so there is no specific schedule for replacing it. Like most other "hard parts" of the car, you replace it when it is worn.

Who knows, maybe in the future they will decide that it is a maintenance item, but for now it isn't.
