Weird rhythmic interior ticking sound

After shutting off my '07 MCS, I hear this coming from the right passenger rear. it is present when the car running, but also when it is off. It may be coming from the right passenger side rear airbag location.

I have had some problems with the boot -- I can't shut it unless I unlock it again, and today it did want to open itself a few times while parked...

Anyone know what this is?

(I'd accidentally posted this to the 1st gen forum)

Not from the rear. I think it's the solenoid that operates the boot latch. I just checked it from the rear and the latch was going on its own from time to time.

Definitely something in the latch circuitry. Lid is popping open on its own, idiot light saying its open when it is not.

Update -- so it's not the latch, that's its own issue. (I think the keyfob I was using was stuck, for one thing, with the other fob it's fine, but still have the can't-close-without-second-unlock issue which predated this by far.) This apparently was the passenger SRS sensor for the rear, and the noise was it trying to operate the belt tensioner. Part was ordered to replace the sensor (which is possibly due to a minor parking lot accident I had earlier this year) and it's being replaced tomorrow. Hopefully all will be well after that.
