7 days in the shop, waiting for an "EDK"
Can anybody tell me what the "EDK" is? My 2002 MCS has been in the shop for the last week after quite a bit of stalling and rough idle. The dealer has told me that they are waiting on delivery of a new "EDK" control unit. Evidently, this part is being sourced from England, and it's taking a while to get.
Not that I'm complaining too much, as the dealer has provided me a 2003 Z4 to drive in the mean time. Just curious as to what the part actually is.
Any help would be appreciated!

This PDF document for an M54 says it's an "Electronic Throttle Control"

>>Electronic Throttle Control ("EDK" is from the German words). Your throttle body.
What are the German words? According to Babelfish, Electronic Throttle Control translates to:
elektronischer Leistungshebel
I don't see how that ends up abbrieviated to EDK. I'm also sure that Babelfish is not the "reference" in English->German translation.
I tried "Electronic Throttle Body" and got:
elektronischer Drosselkörper
which looks more likely for EDK. Is that the right translation?
