First Issue...

Hi All

Thanks in advance for any help I can receive.

Here is the problem...

Yesterday I used the car about 1 hour, and then about 4:00PM Local time, I stopped the car to buy some stuff....

Noticed the Fan stayed on.

I thought it was normal, and then went to the store, and probably spent like 7 - 10 Mins... and the fan was still on..

I turned the Key and then turned back to the off position and the fan came off...

When I got home that didn't happened.

Now, couple of minutes ago, wife called in concerned about the same issue, the Temp gauge is OK right in the middle, I haven;t checked the coolant level...

I read some threads here about this issue, and I am going to purchase the Fan relay initially to see if that corrects the problem...

Any other advise?

Hmmmm. Can't say as I recall the relays failing as the cause of the fan staying on... But let us know if that solves the issue.

I am monitoring the behavior... My doubt is more if it´s normal at all?

This happens on my 2003 R50 if the coolant level is even a little low in the overflow tank. It's normal for the fan to stay on for a minute after you shut off the engine when it's hot out or you were running the A/C but after a few minutes the battery will be drained. That's not normal.

Check the coolant level and top it off if it's low. That does it for me. I check it every time I fill up the gas.
