R50/53 R50 cvt wont start
R50 cvt wont start
***UPDATE***
So Ive replaced the battery and Ive tried a spare BCU and ECU (replaced both at the same time). The starter turns but the engine wont turn over... I dried ALL of the pooled water from the leak and inspected the BCU for water damage. There isnt any obvious. The PCB is even coated in a clear epoxy-like resin...
Can anyone give me any ideas what to try next? Ive put gas dryer in the tank just in case and I've even tried starter fluid in the air intake.
Also, when the key is in the 1st position, the battery light, the oil light, the check engine light, and others are on.
The fuel pump starts and runs for a few moments like usual when i put the key in the first position, so i dont think its a fuel issue...
I even replaced the EWS unit. When I did the car stopped event trying to start (with the key that cam with it). Im am not sure if this means that the old ews is good, but it seems to be
*** /UPDATE***
So this just started happening. The engine started, but then died. I can spin the starter motor just fine, but the engine wont turn over. Ive been having possible issues with the BCU. Does the BCU in the passengers side fire wall regulate ignition? If so, does this indicate a problem with the BCU? Ive been having issues with other sensors in the BCU recently.
As i looked through the forums, ive notice a lot of issues with BCUs when it rains. It was raining pretty hard when this happened and my A pillar was vandalized and destroyed, so Ive had leakavge in the cab...
What can i do?
PS, Ive already soft-reset the computer with the tESt menu to no-avail.
