Need Help Buying a Vibra Technics Engine Mount

Hello all,

My 06 JCW has had the stock engine mount fail at 27.5K miles. No surprise there. I am interested in finding a price and possibly purchasing the Vibra Technics engine mount since I have read good things about it but I am having trouble finding a place to purchase it. It was suggested in another post that some money might be saved by purchasing one from Colin Greene but I cannot seem to be able to make that connection. Does anyone else have a lead on a US distributor or even a price versus the approximately $300 cost they are asking at the manufacturers web site?

Colin Greene on here deals through them (I believe) I, unfortunately, ordered mine straight through VT, but I can say it works well...no excessive vibrations and the power does feel like it gets to the wheels much more efficiently...

Thanks for the reply. Do you know the best way to contact him? I cannot seem to locate him on here.

Not a problem...I couldn't find any email or phone # for you...good luck If you haven't replaced your lower mount you may want to consider that as well...I can feel the slop in my lower mount now that my VT mount is installed.

When I put the car up on a lift I will check lower mount and see if it's in good condition or not. With 27,000 miles I hope the lower mount has not gone to but I'm not confident that that is the case. Another member passed along a phone number that I will try if he does not respond to the private message that I sent. Thanks again.

When I bought my R53 the stock mount was shot. Bought the VT...much less driveline lash and a slight increase in NVH mostly noticeable due to my license plate sitting against my windshield. It likes to rattle between 1800&2300 RPM. Thats the only real issue I've got and could easily be solved if I decided paying $40+ for a mount was worth it...which I have not.

To be honest, I have barely driven the car since the install. I have a spare set of wheels and some winter tires to mount as soon as I clean up the wheels. As soon as I get the new winter package on and a chance to drive it I will report back.

It should work, because R50 and R53 use the same OEM motor mounts.
