Hey all I just changed the coolant via the method here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...g-coolant.html

I have bled the system via the bleed screw as instructed (until coolant comes out the bleed screw). I can't go a block without overheating now. Any idea what I did wrong?

 

It sounds like the thermostat was installed backwards.

 

Or an airbubble....
Sometimes it can take an extra few pints/half gallon of coolant commonig out the bleed screws....while keeping the tank full....and a few short drives to get the bubbles out.

 

There is more than one bleed screw. Did you only use the bleed screw near the upper radiator outlet on the right side of the engine compartment?
My daughter's 2006 Just A Cooper has 4 bleed screws.

 

+1. Air pockets can cause overheating issues....
