In the last few days I've been noticing the washer nozzles are leaking and bubbling after I get out of the car from a drive. The washer fluid is usually running down the front of the bonnet.

Is this from the crapo brand washer fluid from an auto parts chain store or do I have other issues?

 

I know a guy that has the same issue. I say its the fluid. Get a better grade product that wont foam.

 

Washer fluid is boiling (heat is on anytime car is running)....most likly using winter fluid with a high methanol content during the summer..(that is why winter/summer formula is different).. since this lowers the freezing point, but also lowers the boiling point...so on a hot day....hot motor, hot heated nozels....bubble, bubble....

 

It's a well known problem, especially on 07s, and has nothing to do with the fluid. You probably need some check valves added and that may or may not solve the problem. See this thread for more info:

Does anyone know the cost of the parts (the check valves) to fix this?

I ask, as my dealer wants me to bring in my Coupe in to "duplicate the concern" before ordering parts. I responded asking if it made sense to spend labor hours to duplicate a problem, rather than just order/install the parts? I mean, their time, my time, a loaner vehicle...twice...to fix a well documented issue just doesn't pass the common sense test with me.

If I have to take it in, so be it (though close to the home, they're 45mins from work). I sometimes wonder if process is driving them to (basically) cut off their nose to spite their faces...

 

Same leaks on mine.

 

If your out of warranty I would just buy the valves and install them yourself. They are like a few bucks a piece. All that was done on mine was the line was cut and the valves were installed. Very simple.

Of course if your still in warranty I would tell them to order the bloody parts since they know its a chronic issue.
