Fuel gauge on empty - tried everything to fix - ti signal implausible (no reading)
Hi NAM members,
My mother has a 2003 Mini Cooper S. The gas gauge on her car is always at empty with the red bar illuminated under her nav screen. Also the range is ---.
After searching this forum and reading about the issue, I changed both the fuel pumps with tested working used ones.
The gas gauge still doesn't work properly.
After further research, I also entered the hidden menu in the OBC and came up with the following:
In test #6.2, the display reads 3
For reference the values indicate:
Test 6.2 Shows value of Fuel gauge. 1= both senders OK, 2= sender failure, 3=ti signal implausible (no reading)
I have number 3 which means ti signal implausible (no reading) showing on the OBC.
Also after reading the mini specific obc codes in the OBC via test #14, the numbers I get are 11422 on test 1 and the other tests are 00000 (indicating one code)
Can anyone please assist me in troubleshooting this issue?
I tried to research the issue to the best of ability but I am still out of luck.
Thank you kindly in advance for any help.

Have you checked the connections behind the lcd. There are three plugs back there. Make sure they are all connected correctly. Who replaced/fixed the nav?
