Can the new cooper

Hello all may sound like a crazy question but I've seen so many issues with power windows in the past not just on minis---> others as well. just wondering can new minis be ordered with crank windows or do they all come with power windows now. I may order a new one some day and I want crank type if they can still be purchased that way.

just the typical little plastic or metal pin that breaks and screws the regulators up just a pain to fix. I have a ford focus right now with 109,000 on it and it broke one maybe the minis don't have them just trying stop a problem before getting one.

Of course if you don't use them much they will be less prone to break things as well I'm sure.

New cars do not have the problems with the power windows that the 1st gen cars had.

Crank windows are not available in the US.

The latest car I've seen with crank windows was a 2004 Honda Civic. My '92 Miata has cranks, but that's the last crank window model I've purchased.
No chance on getting a MINI with them.
Out of curiosity, why would you want them?

That's funny. My buddy just repaired the electric window regulator on a car for a guy....

It was an early 1950's Lincoln.

Just buy the MINI and have fun. Stuff breaks no matter who makes it or how much you spend on it.

If you are really worried about someting like power windows failing on a mini......

That issue was on some 2002-2006 cars....
but a reality check here....mini's are great premium small cars, but alas, they are no HONDA....i LOVE my mini, but someting you must consider....if you are worried about simple thing like a window actuator on a modern car, and want to delete it to simplify it, in an attempt to increase relalibility, then you will find the mini an overly complex car...the postion of the window switches in the middle and the door desgins are intergrel to the mini look.....like many other things, delete this, and the car would not be as much a mini. A mini without the center window switches would be kinda like a bmw without the kindney grill.....
Owning a mini there are gadgets, technology, and desgin items meant to create an "experience "....some work woderfully, some imo do not, but taken as one, and combined, it is the mini experience.
Any car maker making crank windows on cars today IS rare....outside of pickup trucks and lowend rental cars...and then on stripped models, they are virtually nonexistant....and since the mini is in noway an ecomomy car....but a premium small car, it is a different segment, on that is much more $$$.

True, but one thing to remember, on a mini, when you open the door, the window drops 1/4 inch to allow the door to open, the goes up when shut to make a good, quiet seal...this desgin feature was to allow a frameless door, and be quiet.
So from an engineering standpoint, it is 100% needed....the motor for the electric windows. I also suspect the basic door desgin does not even allow a spot for the crank....
