I just had version 36 programmed. Here are a few questions:

-I noticed that my gas mileage is slightly less. Is this caused by the cold weather here in Michigan? I usually do not have my MCS out of storage by this time, but I needed to get the waterpump replaced.

-Will disconnecting the battery eliminate what was programmed? Could be a dumb question, but I wanted to make sure.

Thanks all,
ARLY

gas milage has dropped on some with V36 upgrade, and increased with others. There doesn't seem to be a definitive correlation. What is definite, is the winter-blend fuel (which seems to lower milage). Not sure when the changeover is to summer-blend.

No, disconnecting the battery yields no effect on flash memory. You radio settings will be toast, however

hope that helps,
Ryan

Ryan, I'm not so sure about that... I had an intake installed a few months back, for which the battery was disconnected for about 20 minutes. All I had to reset when finished was the clock; my radio settings were just fine.

I stand corrected! using flash in the radio is news to me - cool stuff.
