AC Repair
Anybody ever used something like AC pro ?

I saw it on speed TV on one of those DYI shows. I tried looking on the forums for the "service port" but dunno where that may be.

Lots of similar products in any auto parts store. The MINI AC service port is on the drivers side, near the headlight. It's a horizontal tube with a large black screw cap.
I refilled my AC, but in the end it was the compressor itself. Problem with this 'solution' is that there is a reason the AC is low. If there is a leak, it's a short term fix.
The really irritating thing for me is that both my '85 CRX and '91 Miata blow cold air like day one. My '04 MINI crapped out after four years.

Actually I just bought a can for my grandmothers Ford and it worked well. It is easy to use and let me put enough in to get her AC back on-line. As Eric mentioned though, if you have a leak, it is a temp fix only.
The company also makes a leak sealer. I thinking about trying that first. Having a mechanic look for the leak is a pain in the butt and very expensive. If the stuff is less than $100 bucks, I guess why not a shot.
