Durability of Aftermarket Clutch (Survey)

Trying to get a consensus.

How many of you have installed a OS Giken GT clutch and if so how many miles on it, and any problems?

I'm trying to find a solution to the terrible stock clutch (Cost/Reliability/Performance) issues I and many others have had.

My car 2009 R55 Clubman S, 42,000 miles.

Clutch has started slipping in 4th & 5th with hard acceleration.

Dealer wants $2600 to replace.

I'm looking at the OS Gikon GT from Way Motor Works $1800 for parts.

Total for local mechanic to R&R $1100.

Thanks.

Yikes. Go with OEM. You should be able to get an independent shop do it for $1500 parts and labor included.

You're forgetting he'll need to buy another dual mass flywheel. That's probably over a grand right there. For the price of getting an OEM clutch and DMF, the OS Giken GT & GTR make perfect sense.

I had the OS Giken GT installed along with a Quaife LSD a couple of months ago. Clutch pedal feel is identical to stock and they're just as quiet.

I haven't had it on long but so far it's been great. The LSD really changed the feel of the car too, so something you might consider since you're planning to have the transmission down already anyway.

Thanks for the feedback sooper, I am actually considering the LSD, as well.
Since running the Alta access + FMIC+ Intake + Exhaust I think the LSD will help to keep the fronts grabbing.
