How quick are they doing the recall once you drop off car?

I'm dropping my car off tomorrow for the recall (had to make appt a month ago). Has everyone been getting their car back the same day? I'm planning on being without my car for the weekend, but it would be great if they could bang it out in one day.

My dealer told me the car has to cool down for about an hour before they can do it which is why it takes up to 3 hours

Had mine done today. Car was in their hands at 9 AM; they called me at ~1:45 PM to tell me it was done. And they also did a tensioner swap (P/N 11-31-4-609-482) for an intermittently-rattling timing chain, which I imagine consumed the bulk of that time...

I dropped mine at Irvine MINI for the recall (and mentioned a noisy tensioner), got the last loaner due to the plethora of Mini's waiting for the same.
Picked it up the next morning... and now it purrs like a kitten. :-)

2 hours from drop off to pick up. They also flushed my brake fluid and changed the micro filter. That was my last service. Now its all on me.

Recall of the aux water pump. Search or surf the 2nd Gen forums and you should find more info. Affected most models, years of the 2nd Gen MINIs. With your MINI being a 1st Gen, it would not be impacted by this particular recall.

Mine is a 2007 MCS I've had for just over 2 weeks. I contacted the dealer about another matter and they told me to bring it in for the water pump recall, after having it for a week. Phone the dealer and ask them, it may have already been done.
