Codes from Scanguage
Codes from Scanguage
Hi all
So I scan these some codes from my scanguage and I don't know what it means.
P0004
P0008
P07A8
B2000
B2AAA
B0800
I don't have any check engine light. All I have is the warning light about my 2 burn out fog lights.
Can someone help me?
Thanks

Those aren't standard OBD codes. Some scan tools use their own list of code numbers instead.
Look in the manual for your scanguage - there should be a long table of codes and what they mean.
What brand and model scanguage do you have?

I am having the same set of codes now with my 07 MCS. Can you share what you did and what the codes were for? Thanks
Turbo Valve
I had a very similar set of codes as above. The yellow CEL came on, and like a Justa, it ran fine.
How any are realated, I can't seem to find out.
The problem surfaced that for no apparent reason I no longer had Turbo Power. This can be quite demoralizing to an S owner. So after looking at all options, and noticing that I needed a battery replacement, $150 from O'Reilly, which didn't help, but the battery tested bad.
So off to the local BMW/Mini man, and he determined that the Turbo Diverter Valve was no longer functioning. This seems to have many threads about its normal failure. So $200- $57 for the part, and we have boost once again. Life is good, if not $350 lighter in the pocket and a boost to the global economy.
So if you are in that 40K and 5 year range, it may be money well spent to just do this yourself. Seems very straight forward to replace.
