ABS, TCS, and Brake lights on
ABS, TCS, and Brake lights on
Hey guys,
So recently my car randomly decided that it would start to throw an ABS, TCS and brake light all at once, pretty much every time I drive the car. It turns on generally when I hit a bump. Ill feel the car lurch a little as I go over the bump, and then all the lights will go on. No more lurching after the lights are on, but of course driving around without ABS isn't preferred. Even if I turn the TCS off right when I start up the car I still get the same problem.
I read about checking the ABS sensors with a multi-meter, and I wasn't sure if I could do something like that for the R56. Where could I check that on the R56, is it plugged into the ABS module behind the motor?
Or is there anyone else out there who has had this problem and knows what to do?

Sounds like the old "light trifecta". You could pull each wheel one at a time and disconnect the wheel speed sensor where it plugs in. Even not knowing what the resistance is supposed to be, you can compare each of the four readings and possibly find that one of them is much different from the others. The one on my R53 was the passenger side front and was not actually the sensor but the wiring had rubbed in to on the harmonic balancer.
I just recently had the same thing happen. I pulled the wheels but couldn't find any thing obvious. I pulled the wheels for a different reason so I didn't check it out well enough. The light stayed off for a few days but it's back on again. Well off and on again.
