Hey everyone I just bought my first mini and the passenger rear speaker was blown so I decided to try and replace it. I spent quite a while getting everything apart and put back and now the passenger seatbelt light is on and the airbag light is on as well. If someone has already posted on this than please forward the link. Thanks,

What year is the MINI? It may be as simple as a loose wire loom connection or it may be a OC3 mat sensor issue.

 

It is an 08 cooper s

 

After mucking about in the wiring, I'd sure go back and check all the connectors especially if the indicators were not on before you dug into it. My air bag lights have been schizophrenic for several months now until just the other day I fiddled with the connectors under the seat and now everything is properly sorted.

 

Sorry, I have not heard of any issues with the 2nd Generation MINIs. Of course, I really don't check the threads in that forum very much. Good Luck.
