Need Help Identifying this Part

Can anyone help me identify the part name and/or part number of the upper pillar moulding/trim that is circled and pointed at in the attached picture? Or better yet, if anyone can post a link to an online vendor who sells the part cheap, this would be much appreciated.

I'm not looking for the pillar cover that is missing in the photo, just need that upper moulding/trim piece circled at the top.

Mine came off in a car wash a few days ago, and I am just now noticing.

I believe that is what you're looking for.

I appreciate the help, but that is actually the part for the pillar cover, which is the part in the photo that is missing underneath the circled gutter.

Thanks laforze. I'm think that might work, assuming it is the same thing as this part number that I just found:

51.13.7.032.353
ROOF MOLDING/ RAIN GUTTER - MINI COOPER & S 2002 - 2006

I appreciate the help

It is one of these pieces...

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...82&hg=51&fg=20

However, I don't think that you can get that without buying the entire piece of trim.

Excellent link daflake. Yep, both part numbers are for the same left side piece and I'm okay with buying the whole trim. One of the part #'s is for pre 9/2002 and the other is for post 9/2002 - 2006.

Thanks for helping me narrow this down. I just ordered the part online and it should be on it's way hopefully soon

It just sucks that we have to buy the entire piece considering how those things fall off. Glad that I was able to assist.

If it was the passenger I could've sold you my extra (I got both sides when I only needed one) for a few bucks. Sorry...

Yeah, that woulda been a hookup. Shame these pieces cost like $65-$75 without shipping

I was quoted $90 up here by the stealership. I was lucky to get it from someone on the Marketplace who was parting out the entire car. If you lose the other side, just shoot me a PM. I know you already ordered the part, but junkyards can sometimes be a gold mine. The other option is to check in with your MINI dealer and see if the body shop has any recent first generation totals. That part probably wouldn't be missed by the insurance rep.

Any possibility you still have the passenger side? Just came in possession of a '02 Mini that is in great shape that needs one, plus a couple of other cosmetic things. Thank you!

I have it in the garage somewhere. Be happy to find it for you. Welcome to NAM and the MINI obsession! What other cosmetics do you need?

Thank You!! Obsession is right! Only 3 days in and I love this car! It's in pretty good shape-the middle section of the steering wheel is a little scratched up, and the shift **** is cracked and has turned yellow. Nothing that affects driving, the interior is in near perfect shape and these little things kinda bug me. Is that wrong?
Finding people with the same hobbies makes the addiction stronger!

I had a feeling you were in VT based on your ID. What's the squonk part refer to? Do you know about the MINI rally in Londonderry on September 8th? Here's the link:

Ack! Sept 8th I have a thing i have to do in PA. That would be so cool because other than the Burlington area, I see very few Minis here.
Squonk is a song by Genesis on their Trick of the Tail album. Guess my age is showing!

Believe it or not, I was going to guess it was about that song, which is my absolute favorite on that album, and one of the top 10 albums of the prog rock era, for sure. Huge Genesis fan here!

Since you can't join in for that event, there is always the vintage racing festival at Lime Rock Park over Labor Day weekend. www.limerock.com You get to drive your MINI on the track for a couple of parade laps on Monday, and get up close to the cars and drivers in the paddock. Check out some of the threads on www.nemini.org, and tell 'em the Veggivet sent you!

There is also a Poker Run on Saturday, September 15th, organized by MPG (MINI Performance Group), which is a bunch of us MINIacs based in the Albany area. Their link is www.mpgminis.com
