Power mirror/seat heater fuse blowing in '09 Clubman S

Hello, I'm having a repetative fuse blowing issue with my F34 power mirror/ heated seats fuse. I've done a lot of searching and haven't had any luck finding anyone with a similar issue. Based on what I've seen I checked the grounds on the passenger side and in the engine bay. That said, I couldn't find the second ground near the right side indoor fuse box. The one I found was the one about a foot back on the sill.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Can anyone tell me where the second ground is near the fuse box? Any other suggestions before I schedule a visit to the 140 mile distant dealer? Thanks!

Another thought...the fuse only blows after driving the car for a couple minutes. So long as the car is just sitting it doesn't seem to blow.

Kurt, have you tried isolating the problem with each mirror and each heated seat?
I'd remove a connector individually and test to see what the fuse pops.
Are the seats / mirrors on or off when the fuse pops?
If off, there's a wiring problem BEFORE the components.

I have this same problem. Just blew my 4th fuse, that I installed 2 days ago. Looks like I'm going to have to track down the problem.

I do have a hardwired radar detector. I guess I'll start there. And Aftermarket door pulls. Mini dealer wanted $400+ to do an electrical system diagnostic.... because they thought i could have pinched a wire when installing the door pulls.

I don't think that is likely.

The are car always had some weird electrical short sometimes when I would open the doors... sounded like a short over the stereo system... very strange. And that was before I even had done any mods.

Oh well... let the hunt begin...
