I have a 05 MCS with limited slip, A/C and the usual stuff. I have 43,000 miles. At 27,000 miles in Sept. of 08 I had Inspection I. Since then I've changed the oil and filter every year or less. Also had the clutch slave cylinder replaced twice in the last two years (just out of warranty) and the oil pan gasket replaced & wheels balanced.

My service light has not been reset properly several times so I don't think it's a good indication. It now says inspection in 2,250 miles.

My question: Is the inspection II supposed to be done at 55,000 miles and if so is my car so old that it should be done sooner? And does anyone know how much it should cost?

I think Inspection 2 is completed every 40,000 miles like the BMW.

 

I found the answer: 60,000 miles for Inspection 2; about 30k for Inspection 1. But you need to be sure to replace the brake fluid every two years.
