I am looking for some specifics on the Mini Cooper pentagon engine. Anything from where in Brazil its made to engine schematics and technical data.

What is the engine codename?

How much does the eingine block cost? Has anyone replaced the engine on a Mini Cooper and knows how much that normally runs?

I did a search on this site for a while and either there isn't much information available on the engine or I'm blind. Shouldn't there be a FAQ topic that provides exhaustive information about the engine?

Do you happen to know how much a new normally aspirated engine costs?

Someone at the dealership told me a while ago that engines for the MC run around 1500 dollars and installation another 500. does this make sense? sounds a bit low.
