TPMS issues

Hello. I had the tpms pulled from my stock wheels about a year ago and placed in another set of wheels with a summer tire. I mounted some snow tires to the stock wheels without the tpms. I noticed I have not had the low pressure warning light come at all even with these cold mornings. I checked my read out display and it states "active". Now I just put the winter tires on yesterday and figured i'd have the warning light on display without the tpms installed. It appears that I have no warning light. I am assuming that there is an issue with the tpms? I tried to reset them in the settings display. Do I need this serviced? Thanks.

From my experience when swapping wheels it takes like 40 miles of driving before the car detects the lack of sensors in the wheels. It's really strange but I've seen that every fall with my car until i installed the correct sensors in my winter wheels. Give it a day or two and it will give you the alert.

Squonk, you were correct. On my way home last night, the indicator came on, flashed, and read inactive on the menu. I guess i'll be staring at the warning light for a few months. Thanks for the info.

Madmaxxed,

I'm glad to hear that our cars are at least consistent to one another

I spent one winter season with the indicator on the dash and this year I bought new sensors. I know I'm just being nutty, but having any errors showing on my dash drove me

Take Care!
