So this has just happened to me in the last 3 days. It's been in the 20s-30s lately but has been worse earlier in the winter. I have a 2011 MCS with only 4200 miles on it. Thought it may be bad gas, got new gas to no avail. Dealer is picking it up on Tuesday (closest one in 2 hours away).

This is my first Mini and I absolutely adore it but I'm really paranoid that this the beginning of a long train of issues (read some horror stories about the clutches in these)! Please prove me wrong. I used to own an Audi and was certainly not the most reliable car I've owned.

 

Would like to know what the dealer tells you when you get it back, as for the bold statement, what did you have? I know the 2.7TT is a troublesome motor, and so was the 3.0. other than that as long as maintance was taken care of from the begining they were usually good cars.
