I have a broken foglight and am all set to replace the whole unit - but I lack bulbs, which I figure I ought to replace as long as I'm disassembling everything. Anyone know what bulb type the stock fog lights (the ones in the lower bumper) use? I've read H11, but have also seen a note saying H9 will work. H11s are all 55w, right? And H9s are 65w, I think... Will the extra wattage of H9s be risky on the stock wiring?

 

They are H11 on stock. H9's will be brighter, i'm sure you've read the H11 to H9 diy conversion threads (see e.g.-- http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2083911 )

Seems easy. 65w probably won't melt your wires. I might do it myself to get brighter fogs
