Replacing hatch hinges

I need to remove/replace one of my rear hinges. I bent the left one, and want to try to bend it back. I do have a replacement set, just in case. I know I need to get under the headliner, and I am sure it won't be too hard. Just hoping for some info or tips if anybody's got any experience with this!!

Click on the link below and then on the interior tab on the right--you will find several links about the boot that may be helpful. Good luck.

If you are talking about the hydraulic levers that hold up your rear hatch lid, Easy. The new ones just clip in. 5 minutes and your done.

Pull the headliner down and its just one 13mm nut to take it off, then the torx on the hatch. If it's bent I wouldn't bother trying to bend it as you prob won't ever get it lined up.

Got both hinges replaced today. The only problem I had, was getting the rear pillars off so I could pull the headliner down without damaging it. I'm not sure why, but the pillars are attached with a strap? Got it figured out, it wasn't as easy as I thought. I got the new hinges on, which was the easy part, and even getting the hatch perfectly aligned was easy.
But, in the end, I got her put back together, and didn't break anything. It'll be nice not getting the exhaust smell in the car, and the sound outside should stay outside.
Glad I was able to do it myself, so I can help somebody if they need it. But if I have to do this again, I won't be looking forward to it!
