Squeak from Front Wheel

Hello,

My mini cooper has recently started squeaking from the front right wheel when i turn the steering from right/left.

Any idea what it is or what i should be checking when i pop off the wheel?

There is a plate on top of your front struts that has a bushing on it. If you look through the hole on your strut towers you can see them. They usually squeak when turning at slow speeds such as backing out of a driveway. Mine were shot at 40,000 miles. I eventually replaced them with adjustable camber plates and it got rid of the sqeaky squeal immediately. If you dont have any kind of tire rubbing issues the upper strut bushings are most likely dried out and worn and are your issue. Im not sure of any damage they can cause besides alignment issues and loose steering. Just my two cents. Heres a link to show what the part is and does....good luck
