Power Steering Fuse Blown..?
Power Steering Fuse Blown..?
I've searched around and can't find what I'm looking for as far as an answer so here I go. Driving the car the other day. Steering suddenly has no power. I drove around hoping it would randomly come back just as easily as it had gone. No dice. Did some searching on here to find how common the power steering pump is on the car to go bad :( I remembered the steering is electric, or so I was told, thats why it has the whining noise to it. I found a fuse in the drivers side foot panel that was blown with the P (parking sensor I assume) and the steering wheel. I replaced it crossing my fingers and no luck. Could I have blown the fuse for the fan and then overheated the pump? 87k on it, not sure if it was replaced before. Not sure what I should look for besides that. Just found it odd the fuse was blown. Haven't gotten under there yet to take a look at wiring but figured if anyone had any clues as why the fuse would be blown and if that would have to do with the loss of power. I did replace that fuse with another 5amp, and started it up and still didn't hear any whining of the power steering and still no power. Not good! Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated! Thanks
